Brienz
Brienz liegt umgeben von einer reizvollen Berglandschaft am östlichen Ende des türkisfarbenen Brienzersees. Das heimelige Dorf ist Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge im Berner Oberland, ins Freilichtmuseum Ballenberg, aber auch nach Luzern oder Interlaken oder über die nahen Alpenpässe.

Experience how wooden works of art are created on the lakeside… The cosy village is surrounded by a charming mountain landscape at the eastern end of Lake Brienz. Known as the woodcarving village, Brienz has a long tradition of woodworking and has special training centres of world renown in the form of the School of Woodcarving and the Violin Making School. The Axalp, which is mainly used for tourism, belongs to Brienz.
